FDR Label (formerly known as Face Down Records) is the small NJ indie label with the big power pop heart. Formed in 1996, FDR Label is probably best known for a string of wildly popular tribute CDs including a tribute to the Replacements, Left of the Dial, a tribute to The Who, Who's Not Forgotten, and the 80s movie tribute CD, High School Reunion.

FDR comps have featured renowned artists including Guided By Voices, Frank Black, Matthew Sweet, Pat Dinizio, The Bigger Lovers, Kristen Hersh, and Lori McKenna. However, Mick Chorba (label cofounder and president) will tell you he is most proud of the music FDR Label has released by great NJ, NY and Philadelphia power pop and indie rock bands such as his own band the Dipsomaniacs, and friends such as Bastards of Melody, Taggart, Milton and the Devils Party, Blank Pages, The Swivel Chairs, and Mick's newest band - The Successful Failures.

Look for FDR Label to continue to expand in the years to come, building on an already strong roster while compiling more innovative tributes and compilations CDs.
